Mowbray Says "No"
Union members at Mowbray College who went on strike on 17 June have been fully supported by a vote of all staff that rejects the employer’s proposed EBA.  The employer bypassed the negotiators and put its own document direct to staff to vote on.  In a secret ballot conducted by the employer on Friday 19 June, the vote was 63 for and 159 against. Now that all staff have rejected the employer’s position, it’s time for College management to start acting with honesty and integrity, and deliver on the promises they made to staff.  We look forward to an early resumption of talks towards a final agreement that all staff can be happy with. »more
