Cuts to WorkCover The Baillieu Government has a plan to cut $471.5m from the WorkCover Authority, known as WorkSafe, to help the balance its books. Any surplus generated by WorkSafe should be used to reduce WorkCover premiums, keep workplaces safe and compensate injured workers. If you’d like to help put pressure on the Victorian Government to use those funds for what their intended purpose – creating safer workplaces and looking after injured workers - you can sign the petition here

2.75% Payrise for the Victorian Catholic Sector As part of the strong agreement the IEU reached with Victorian Catholic employers in 2008 we negotiated that, if we had not completed a new Enterprise Agreement by the end of 2011, all staff (including non-teaching staff) would get a pay rise equal to that paid to teachers in Government schools.
