VIEU members' resolution - Friday 7 March

This meeting of VIEU members:

1. Commits to continue to stand together to achieve a just wage rise that recognises our professionalism.
   
2. Commends the determination of our union colleagues in government schools who to date have participated in two days of work stoppages and are now undertaking regional rolling stoppages.
   
3. Calls on the Brumby government to enter into immediate and genuine negotiations with the AEU to resolve the wages crisis.
   
4. Resolves to continue our fight for a just wages outcome by maintaining pressure on the state government through local campaigns with members of Parliament and the broader community and:
5. Authorises the Committee of Management in consultation with sub-branches to recommend further action should the state government continue to refuse to negotiate a just wages outcome.
