After 142 years, Vision Australia has suddenly decided to close its school and cease all its education services.

VIEU members at Vision Australia have decided to rally community support through this petition and provoke the Victorian State Government to taking up the full challenge of catering for the unique needs of the children for whom Vision Australia no longer wants to take responsibility.

All VIEU members are urged to sign this petition by following the link below. It is a simple and safe process, and there is also opportunity to put comments with your signature.

A paper petition will also be circulating, addressed to the Legislative Assembly of the State Parliament of Victoria. The paper version is the only one that can be presented in parliament and can only be signed by residents of Victoria.

The online petition will be delivered to the Minister of Education, Bronwyn Pike. Any concerned person can sign this, and we hope to get an expression of international concern as well as all the Australians we can muster.
