Timeline for the New Agreement

•    23 September: Agreement Lodged (Lodgement Day)
•    Lodgement day triggers pay rises and back pay to 1 May
•    Agreement is approved (Approval Day) on 22 October

Date of Effect: 29 October

•    The new Agreement takes effect for all employees in Catholic Schools
•    Lump sum payments are made
•    All new conditions, such as improved long service leave, increases in paid maternity leave, take effect.

•    1 January 2009: further pay increases of 2.71% for all staff
•    1 February 2009: transition payments made to employees eligible for compensatory payment for moving to common progression
