VIEU is proud to present an innovative and contemporary training program that is designed to meet a broad range of member needs.

Rep training is more important than ever and it has never been more important to know your rights in the workplace. We urge all Reps to attend union training as we offer a wide range of training designed to meet the needs of every Rep. Remember that VIEU reps in Catholic schools have one days paid training leave and VIEU will pay replacement costs for reps from Independent schools to attend training.

VIEU is continuing to offer best practice Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) training designed specifically for the non-government school sector. In addition to the five-day OHS courses, a range of refresher courses are also being offered to provide H&S Reps an opportunity to update their knowledge on specific OHS issues.

Specific training has also been developed to address a range of professional issues, and VIEU continues to offer Consultative Committee training. In addition, there are five Conferences running: the Beginning Teachers' Conference, the School Officer Conference, the Leadership Conference, the Legal Conference and the OHS Conference.
