Update: 14 July 2008

Intense negotiations over the Agreement continued almost daily until the end of term two and through the holidays. A meeting of VIEU Committee of Management has been convened for Tuesday 15 July where COM will be given a full report on progress to date.

Depending on these deliberations, a meeting of Reps may be convened at VIEU on Wednesday 23 July at 4:30pm for a full briefing. Reps should note this meeting will be contacted via email to confirm arrangements .

The vote of all employees in the Government sector on their Agreement was concluded in the last week of term and received overwhelming endorsement. It has now been lodged and back pay should flow soon to staff in Government schools.
